While American Soldiers Die Obama Yucks It Up With Letterman
President Obama’s seeming endless quest to be a celebrity rather than a leader hit bottom with his appearance on Dave Letterman’s show. One might question why he would appear on the show after Letterman was roundly criticized for his atrocious remarks about Sarah Palin and her children. Apparently Obama has no problem with those who treat children as the source of gross humor. But what’s worse is that it was revealed this week that a vital military report about Afghanistan is one the President’s desk that he has not taken time to read. He’s been too busy appearing on every TV show that will have him and NOT ask tough questions. Maybe someone should tell the President being a celebrity does not equate to being a leader.
Valiant American soldiers are dying in Afghanistan, spilling their blood for freedom, but the President cannot find time to read a report from his military commanders about a change in battlefield strategy. It’s disgusting the President laughed it up with Letterman instead of doing the job he is Constitutionally required to perform. But, as Sarah Palin noted last year, Obama never uses the word victory when talking about the wars Americans are fighting. He only uses that word when it pertains to himself or his policies. Palin was right.
