Palin Makes Stunning Political Endorsement: “No more politics as usual.”
Recalling the words of Ronald Reagan, Sarah Palin made a stunning political endorsement of Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman over the liberal Democrat and Republican candidates in New York’s 23rd Congressional District.
Palin said: “It’s my honor to endorse Doug and to do what I can to help him win. Our nation is at a crossroads, and this is once again a ‘time for choosing.’”
She continued, “Political parties must stand for something. When Republicans were in the wilderness in the late 1970’s, Ronald Reagan knew that the doctrine of ‘blurring the lines’ between parties was not an appropriate way to win elections. Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty. Unfortunately, the Republican Party choose a candidate that more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race. Republicans and conservatives around the country are sending an important message to the Republican establishment in their outstanding grassroots support for Doug Hoffman: no more politics as usual.”
It’s obvious that despite the liberal media pundits predicting her political demise, Palin has come out swinging with integrity and conservative conviction. No doubt her supporters around the nation will react with wild applause!
This is wonderful news. The “Republican” in the race is to the left of the Democrat in this race. Doug Hoffman is the only Conservative. Good for Sarah for doing the right thing. Hopefully Marco Rubio will get the next endorsement.
A lot of politicians know what the right thing to do is. Palin is brave enough to actually do it. All Americans win because of this (whether they know it or not). I feel she will encourage others to be brave. Our country needs all of us to take a stand.
