Palin Champions American Virtues as Book Tour Heads South
Some pictures say it all…and this one from the USA TODAY certainly does. Americans are lining-up in record numbers to purchase Sarah Palin’s book making it the second most successful non-fiction book published. Scores of other Americans are standing in long lines to meet Governor Palin as her book tour moves south this week and will include a Thanksgiving stop to support military families at Ft. Hood.
You can tell the support is genuine, widespread and deep because the hypocrites in the national media are no longer providing coverage of this book tour. They conveniently did not report Palin’s firm declarations that the Ft. Hood shootings were definitively an act of domestic terrorism, that the Senate health bill will be ruinous to the economy, that President Obama seems unable to make a command decision about Afghanistan or forget the lessons he learned from his assortment of anti-American political mentors in Chicago.
The common theme of those waiting in lines to meet her is clear. Sarah Palin speaks from the gut of the American experience. She loves this country. She understands the values that long illuminated American life…hard work, patriotism, free enterprise achievement and family. As she grows stronger the media attacks will increase.
But, Sarah Palin seems to have the indispensible weapon Ronald Reagan long enjoyed…the respect and love of the wide swath of the American people who will stand and fight for her. Every day she is attracting new people into the political process…citizens motivated by her non-nonsense common sense.
Let’s make sure she hears ‘our’ voice in asking her to challenge Obama in 2012 and campaigning for candidates in 2010. Change may be coming alright…but it will be a right turn for America…the proven direction of national advancement and greatness.
