White House Spins Massachusetts Vote as Endorsement of Obama
Governor Sarah Palin often speaks of the need for ‘common sense conservatism’ as the guiding principle which should lead our nation. She does so with full recognition this is the hallmark of the sound leadership President Ronald Reagan brought our nation.
Common sense conservatism covers many aspects of leaderships but chief among them is a trust in American people rather than trust in government. We, the American people, know instinctively how to solve the nation’s problems and newly elected Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown spoke of many of these issues in his winning campaign.
The people…the taxpayers…do not want secret closed door deals in Congress. The people want terrorists treated as terrorists not as American citizens with taxpayer supported attorneys. The American people do not want the Obama/Pelosi/Reid healthcare scam. And, the good people of our nation know they can spend their hard-earned dollars far better than Washington can.
But, as you will see in this video, the White House (in the person of Presidential Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs) treats the people like fools. Despite every evidence to the contrary, they tell us that the people voted for something other than what candidate Brown campaigned. This video is a stark and classic example of what is wrong with the thinking of people like the President and the far left in this country. They believe anyone not in their ‘perceived intellectual league’ are simply ignorant and unworthy citizens.
Ronald Reagan’s success as President, Sarah Palin’s enduring affection despite being pummeled by the left and Scott Brown’s victory in Massachusetts is evidence of common sense. This video of the White House view is evidence of arrogance, denial and the reason we must all work hard this year to recapture the Senate and House to make certain we save the nation for which we love.
