This week Sarah Palin’s ‘genius’ was given some left-wing but admirable spin by THE NEW REPUBLIC website and magazine. Rest assured this group is no friend of conservatives nor common sense at times.

However, they do know politics and have written an intriguing article entitled: MEDIA MAVEN. You’ll find a link to the article below, but here are some excerpts:

Like most great women of mystery, Sarah Palin is at once everywhere and nowhere. On any given evening, you might see the former Alaska governor-turned-conservative-icon on Fox News, chatting up like-minded travelers about the political buzz du jour.

*****

It’s an unconventional media strategy, to be sure, and not without its drawbacks— namely, bitter party operatives. (“This means that you can’t plan anything!” says the strategist.) Yet it’s hard to deny that Palin’s p.r. approach has not only succeeded but succeeded brilliantly.

*****

"Any political strategist who orchestrated such brilliant success via such unconventional means would instantly be dubbed the p.r. genius of our time."

Any political strategist who orchestrated such brilliant success via such unconventional means would instantly be dubbed the p.r. genius of our time. But, as far as we know, there is no crack communications team charting Palin’s course. At some point, even Palin haters may have to face the possibility that the p.r. genius is Sarah herself.

A statue of President Ronald Reagan is slated to be in place by the Fall of 2011 at Reagan National Airport just across the Potomac from Washington DC.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation has inked a deal with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which operates Reagan National and Dulles International Airport, to install the bronze statue of Reagan on a triangle of land in front of Terminal A at the airport.

This statue is part of the national and international plans in place by the United States government and scores of private organizations and businesses to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s birth next year.

Congress changed the name of the airport to honor Reagan in 1998. There was some minor protest by the liberal media at the time but it amounted to nothing but sour grapes. During one of the first flights into the newly named airport passengers on the aircraft broke into spontaneous applause when they were told they were on final approach to ‘Ronald Reagan’ National Airport.

Up until now, aside from the name on entrance signage and subway maps there is little at the airport to officially recognize President Reagan. This new statue will engender generations of recognition for one of the nation’s most important Presidents and the man credited by Eastern Europeans who outsmarted the Soviets and brought them into the light of liberty. We’ll keep you posted as statue design and details are released.

Rarely a day goes by without news generated from Governor Palin endorsing candidates, challenging Obama or simply speaking out for common sense and the Constitution.

More and more people are seeing, even some of the hate-mongers in the liberal media, that Palin is a powerful and perceptive political leader. She knows 2010 is pivotal to the future of the nation and for the future of her children and grandchildren. She is working 24/7 it seems to get the right folks elected.

SARAHPAC is Governor Palin’s official political action committee. It is from this PAC that she is able to offer financial support for candidates. We have NO connection to the PAC. We simply support Sarah Palin. Therefore, we do urge you to support SARAHPAC. You can offer a donation at their website and here is the link > SARAHPAC

Thank you and God Bless America.

Decorated General, and West Point graduate, Stanley McChrystal may be fired but he told the truth. America’s commanding officer in Afghanistan, personally selected by President Obama to serve in this capacity, revealed his personal views of the President and his Administration.

The liberal media, who has been shielding Obama for weeks for his inept handling of the Gulf oil spill by attacking BP, will now make McChrystal the issue and not what he said. Therefore let’s be clear about what he did say.

He explained President Obama was ‘unprepared’ during his first Oval Office meeting with him to discuss the war. No doubt this was due to the President making several teleprompter speeches near that date rather than strategic thinking required by a real leader.

Think about this for a moment. The Commander-in-Chief of the United
States of America, with the lives of the nations sons and daughters hanging in the balance, could not find time to be prepare for a meeting with his commanding General.

McChrystal also noted contempt for the views of Vice-President Biden. This should come as no surprise to any thinking American as Biden made of career of being WRONG on every foreign policy challenge facing the United States since Vietnam.

General McChrystal may have to fall on his sword but let us not forget the truth of his remarks. He identified what we have all believed since the lection of 2008: Obama has no executive experience, he is inept and therefore always unprepared.

Thank you General McChrystal for your service to our nation and the cause of liberty. Hopefully, those of us who value liberty will rid ourselves in November of many of the president’s partisans and then replace him in 2012.

White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, attacked Sarah Palin’s credibility today but failed to answer the charged she leveled against President Obama on the BP oil spill.

Governor Palin leveled a charge rarely seen in politics, but quite welcomed, on an appearance with FOX NEWS SUNDAY. Palin suggested Obama’s protectors in the’ mainstream media’ should take a hard look at President Obama’s ‘connection’ to the oil companies and their contributions to his campaign.

Palin was commenting on the indecisive and ineffective White House response to the Gulf oil spill saying, “I don’t know why the question isn’t asked by the mainstream media and by others if there is any connection with the contributions made to President Obama and his administration.”

Incredibly, Gibbs sarcastically responded with this gem on FACE THE NATION: “My suggestion to Sarah Palin would be to get slightly more informed as to what’s going on in and around oil drilling in this country.“ Does Gibbs honestly believe he knows more about energy issues than Sarah Palin? Probably not…but this is a familiar tactic from this White House which responds to tough questions with personal attacks but never answers the charge.

Gibbs went on to say: “I’m almost sure that the oil companies don’t consider the Obama administration a huge ally – we proposed a windfall profits tax when they jacked their oil prices up to charge for gasoline.” (Obviously Gibbs knows nothing about how free markets work seeing as the price of gasoline is tied to consumer demand. This would be evident to anyone who studied American Economics 101.)

Never one to back down from a fight, Sarah later fired back with the facts: “Mr. Gibbs, BP gave over $3.5 million to federal candidates over the past 20 years with the largest amount going to Obama.”

The reality is the Obama Administration has sat on their incompetent thumbs while this oil spill grows ever larger and is now going to kill family fishing businesses along the Gulf. Be reminded that Obama’s EPA was not prepared for a burn-off of the oil when early on BP had great success with this some 35 miles from shore. The bureaucrats took control and reminded BP of silly ‘Smoke & Soot Environmental Rules’.

Sarah Palin always speaks of common sense conservatism. We suspect everyone along the Gulf coast would have preferred some common sense and a few days of smoke and soot to see the oil contained. So we say to Mr. Gibbs: “Seeing as the taxpayers pay your salary how about, for once, you getting g your facts right before you attack a citizen and try actually answering the question next time.”

Now, more than ever, we need Palin 2012!

If you support Sarah Palin for President in 2012 your optimism should abound. As never before Palin’s persistent stand on issues is resonating with voters.

Like Ronald Reagan before her, a man viciously ridiculed for his politics and his alleged lack of sense, Sarah Palin is speaking from the heart about issues the American people care about.

The amateurish Obama Presidency rolls along in blissful ignorance of reality. The twists and turns on domestic policy, the naïve’ foreign policy and complete belief bigger government is the answer for all problems will render this President as but a curiosity to future historians.

You can sense if from the left as their hysterical rantings about Palin get worse. The fraudulent writers at the HUFFINGTON POST print a new lie each day about Palin apparently because no-one would read their hate-filled website otherwise.

The attempt by radical environmentalists to deny Sarah Palin a program on the Discovery Channel appears to have failed. The attempt by a radical member of the California legislature (a friend of Pelosi’s) failed in a much publicized attempt to destroy a pending Palin appearance at a California college.

Despite left wing media repetition of phony CBS & ABC News polling, state by state polls show Palin on the rise and picking up independent voters. The latest national poll has Palin trailing Obama by an insignificant two points.

Her call for calm and common sense during this gulf oil spill has won her praise. This is particularly true as it becomes ever more clear the White House fumbled this whole episode. It seems the President was more interested in rehearsing laugh lines written for him for the White House Correspondents Dinner rather than taking time to understand the situation in the Gulf of Mexico.

And, once again this Administration fumbled and sputtered over a terrorist threat in Times Square. As usual, the President first claimed it was an isolated incident…the same lame excuse he gave for the Ft. Hood massacre, the Christmas Day underwear bomber and now the fellow with the bomb truck in New York.

So friends, take heart. our national economic problems are dire and getting worse and the President still seems embarrassed by his own nation…but help is on the way just as it was a generation ago when Ronald Reagan stood his ground and then walked right into the White House to rescue America. If we hang tight and hang tough for Sarah Palin history will repeat itself in 2012. You can bank on it.

The federal jury in Knoxville, Tennessee this afternoon convicted David C. Kernell, Sarah Palin’s e-mail intruder, of felony destruction of records to hamper a federal investigation and misdemeanor unlawfully obtaining information from a protected computer.

The four charges are all felonies with only the protected computer count included a lesser misdemeanor offense. The jurors chose the misdemeanor count of the charge. Kernell was facing a total of 50 years in prison if convicted of all the felonies. The jury acquitted Kernell, 22, of felony wire fraud.

U.S. District Judge Thomas W. Phillips declared a mistrial on the fourth charge, felony identity theft, after the jurors said they were hopelessly deadlocked.

On Thursday the jurors sent a note to Phillips indicated some tension in the group. “Some of us feel not all jurors are following jury instructions,” the note said in part. It will be interesting, over time, if it is learned the liberal media hysteria and hatred directed at Governor Palin played any role in this ‘jury tension’.

Governor Palin issued a statement on this trial as follows:

My family and I are thankful that the jury thoroughly and carefully weighed the evidence and issued a just verdict. Besides the obvious invasion of privacy and security concerns surrounding this issue, many of us are concerned about the integrity of our country’s political elections. America’s elections depend upon fair competition. Violating the law, or simply invading someone’s privacy for political gain, has long been repugnant to Americans’ sense of fair play. As Watergate taught us, we rightfully reject illegally breaking into candidates’ private communications for political intrigue in an attempt to derail an election. I want to thank the public servants who worked so hard on this case, particularly the jurors who gave up precious time from their jobs and families to listen to the evidence and reach a decision. My family and I appreciate the good people of Knoxville, Tennessee, who showed us true Southern hospitality. We can’t wait to visit again – but without having a subpoena in hand.

Unlike the immature and ignorant reaction of the President of the United States, Governor Sarah Palin has shown a steady hand of leadership and truth on the new Arizona immigration law.

The President, Congressional leaders and other peddlers of deceit such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have used the media to lie about the legislation. What they are not telling us is that it’s nothing more than a re-statement of Federal law…nothing more nothing less.

Unfortunately, as any thinking American knows, the Federal immigration laws are NOT being enforced. Arizona did what the citizens of that state demanded and that’s how it should be. Here are Sarah’s reasoned and welcomed remarks calmly delivered against a backdrop of left-wing fear mongering and hysteria. One more reason we say…get ready America…PALIN 2012!

Here are some of the new revelations in the Palin E-Mail Hacker Case now underway in Knoxville, Tennessee. Governor Palin has not taken the stand to testifythough this is expected. However, FBI experts in court yesterday presented much of the case against the defendant David Kernell. The news reports are from the KNOXVILLE NEWS:

A forensic probe of the computer a University of Tennessee student allegedly used to illegally snoop through former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s private e-mail account presented jurors Thursday with a study in contrasts.

David C. Kernell deleted everything he took from the account but left intact what amounted to a confession of his foray into the account.

He posted a password on an Internet discussion site and urged others to use it but minutes later tried to block them from doing so and declared himself a “dip (expletive)” for making the password public.

He “defragmented” the hard drive, which served to overwrite some deleted information, but never sought to reformat it, which would have effectively wiped it clean.

Jurors in the Federal courtroom on Thursday took a journey via FBI Agent Stephen McFall’s forensic autopsy through the computer activity on Kernell’s laptop in September 2008 when the then 20-year-old UT economics major allegedly managed to Google his way past Yahoo! security measures and change the password on Palin’s private account to get inside it.

At the time, Palin had been tapped as running mate to Republican U.S. Sen. John McCain in his failed 2008 presidential campaign, and national media were alleging Palin used the private e-mail account to keep gubernatorial business from the public’s prying eyes.

Federal prosecutors Greg Weddle and Mark Krotoski on Thursday zeroed in on one of four felony charges Kernell faces – obstruction of the FBI’s probe. They sent Kernell friend Benjamin Reed to the witness stand to recount how Kernell worried the FBI was on his trail and openly pondered the merits of reformatting his hard drive.

But the crux of their obstruction case came from testimony by McFall, a computer expert so skilled he was tapped to help organize the FBI’s elite Computer Analysis and Response Team, or CART.

McFall said his probe was stymied by a series of steps authorities allege Kernell took to cover his tracks, including deleting from the computer material gleaned from Palin’s account, clearing his Internet history on one Web browser, uninstalling another browser and running a Windows tool designed to speed a computer up by overwriting space occupied by deleted files.

“Uninstalling (software) and deleting a bunch of files and photos, then defragmenting, makes it a whole lot (tougher)” to reconstruct whatever evidence the laptop contained, he said.

But McFall did get a probe assist from an unexpected source – a nasty virus hiding on the used laptop Kernell’s aunt and uncle gave him to use in his UT studies. “It’s designed to collect a lot of different data (including) banking and finance data,” he said. The “malware” created a log of much of Kernell’s Internet activity, he said. “The log file was capturing, almost like a surveillance camera, the activities that were going on,” he said.

Prosecutors used McFall’s testimony to paint a portrait of a self-described “Obamacrat” bent on derailing the Republican campaign who tried to cover his tracks when the illegal access went public. But defense attorney Wade Davies used it to try to advance his contention the high-profile e-mail compromise was nothing more than a college prank spurred by curiosity and carried out by an immature student with less-than-savvy computer skills.

For instance, Davies noted in cross-examination that Kernell did not delete a draft of an Internet post in which he boasted of the ease with which he cracked the account. “I am the (discussion board) lurker who did it, and I would like to tell the story,” the file read.

Davies also pointed out that minutes after Kernell posted the new password he set for the account on that same discussion board, McFall’s laptop probe shows he tried to change it again in an effort so frantic he made a series of sloppy mistakes that kept him from doing so. He also highlighted to jurors a Facebook chat with Reed in which Kernell wrote that he “posted the pass(word) like a dip (expletive).”

Palin and her husband, Todd Palin, are on the government’s witness list and could testify today.

The Obama Administration and Speaker Pelosi’s attempt to nullify a portion of Article One of the Constitution has failed. Yesterday, Congress capitulated in the face of Amendments to a Bill that would have violated the Constitution (nothing new for this President or Congress) and give the District of Columbia ‘statehood’ status in Congress.

According to the WASHINGTON POST:

“The decision by congressional leaders Tuesday to shelve a D.C. voting rights bill, just days after announcing plans to move ahead, scuttles what supporters say was the best opportunity in a generation to give the District a voting seat in the House of Representatives. It was an extraordinary reversal that came less than a week after Hoyer said he would revive the legislation on the House floor as early as Wednesday…”

<img class="size-full wp-image-1816" title="Gun Rights" src="http://www.reagantopalin.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Gun-Rights.jpg" alt="Fortunately, two conservative members of the House, Travis Childers (D-Miss.) and Mark Souder (R-Ind.) added language to overturn the District of Columbia’s overly restrictive gun laws.
Fortunately, two conservative members of the House, Travis Childers (D-Miss.) and Mark Souder (R-Ind.) added language to overturn the District of Columbia’s overly restrictive gun laws.

As a result the supposedly all inclusive liberal leadership (singing the tune that every American deserves to vote) decided that voting rights were quite as important as denying citizens their right to bear arms.

Yet again, this is a case of wasting taxpayers’ dollars on foolishness and the complete hypocrisy of the left. They had hoped to slip this legislation through on an unsuspecting public but for now it is derailed.

This is good news for conservatives and for the United States Constitution.
