President Obama made yet another power grab in a largely overlooked statement issued by the White House Friday.  He is attempting to nullify a portion of Article One of the United States Constitution.

Following unsuccessful attempts by the Clinton Administration in the 1990’s, Obama threw his support behind ‘statehood representation’ in Congress for the District of Columbia.

This naked attempt to solidly power has Constitutional hurdles to climb but could be implemented with a majority vote just as healthcare was last month pending later judicial review.

District of Columbia voters historically vote about 85-to-90% Democratic thus such action would give Democrats a lock on two new Senate seats and one radical House member.  It is another indication of Presidential arrogance and the national media will fully support it.

The original 100 square mile territory designated for the national capital was acquired from both Maryland and Virginia.

Earlier attempts by liberal Democrats to nullify the Constitution were beaten back by members of Congress and legal scholars.

Conservative Republicans in the 1990’s suggested the land now known as the District of Columbia be ceded back to the State of Maryland and thus residents would have full voting rights.  Democrats balked at this common sense solution because they knew it would not add to their votes in the Senate and House.

The Virginia legislature, in the 1840’s, successfully ‘won back’ the Virginia land as the Federal government to that point had not developed the national Capital west of the Potomac River. This area today forms the boundaries of the County of Arlington and the city of Alexandria .  Therefore the precedent is in place to return Maryland its land.

Sadly, like so much else radical leftist do, the only consideration is political power.  This President’s brazen attempt to discard the Constitution in other areas (such as government owned banks and auto companies) and the totally fraudulent Obama Care legislation is bad enough.

However, this attempt to provide ‘statehood’ to the District of Columbia through legislation is pure politics and radical.  Speaker Pelosi will get the bill when Congress reconvenes and the pressure will be on by the left wing media and White House to get it done.

Everyone should plan on carrying the flag of liberty into voting booths this November by defeating Obama and his followers.

This is just one more reason every single person supporting the Tea Party movement, conservative Congressional and state candidates and Sarah Palin MUST get involved with the campaigns as volunteers.

The dictatorial power grab in Washington is unprecedented and it must be stopped.  Everyone should plan on carrying the flag of liberty into voting booths this November by defeating Obama and his followers.  They are attempting to cram all this down our throats while they can.

If we remain silent…they win and the country is lost. 

The result, as Ronald Reagan would say, is squarely in our hands.

Governor SARAH PALIN emphatically trumpets the lessons taught us by President RONALD REAGAN each time she gives a speech: TRUST THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!

She drives home both an important point and a vital message.  The problems facing America…and the awful economic burdens the Obama Administration has placed on generations of taxpayers…is easily rectified.  That’s because she knows the answer rests on the ‘Reagan Model’. 

It is the bedrock belief you get government out of the way…and out of the face of taxpayers…by lowering tax rates.  You then sit back and marvel at the incredible ability of Americans to create jobs and innovate an enconomy for which the world will again stand amazed. 

It is then the next President of the United States can tackle decades of Congressional cowardice and spending.  It will take someone used to fighting corruption and unafraid of the Washington, DC governing power structure or media elite.

The right answer to America’s problems is a solution which rests with the people of this unique nation.  The video below says it all in President Ronald Reagan’s own words from Inauguration Day1981.  From the vantage point of 2010 we know the Reagan approach worked.  In January of 2013 we suspect Sarah Palin may echo these same words on the steps of the United States Capitol.

For those who want evidence of what an honest ‘State of the Union’ address should be in time of national  recession need look no further than the one President Reagan delivered in 1982.  It is vintage Reagan, filled with humor, history, patriotism and determination.  Please watch it with pride and as an example of what the solutions should be today for our economic woes. 

Despite a steady liberal media drumbeat and Democratic criticism, the President stood firm for the American people and the tax cuts he had demanded and enacted for them.  At the very beginning of the speech you will note a wonderful Reagan tweak at the national news media.

You can tell the support is genuine, widespread and deep because the hypocrites in the national media are no longer providing coverage of this book tour. They conveniently did not report Palin’s firm declarations that the Ft. Hood shootings were definitively an act of domestic terrorism, that the Senate health bill will be ruinous to the economy, that President Obama seems unable to make a command decision about Afghanistan or forget the lessons he learned from his assortment of anti-American political mentors in Chicago.

The common theme of those waiting in lines to meet her is clear. Sarah Palin speaks from the gut of the American experience. She loves this country. She understands the values that long illuminated American life…hard work, patriotism, free enterprise achievement and family. As she grows stronger the media attacks will increase.

But, Sarah Palin seems to have the indispensible weapon Ronald Reagan long enjoyed…the respect and love of the wide swath of the American people who will stand and fight for her. Every day she is attracting new people into the political process…citizens motivated by her non-nonsense common sense.

Let’s make sure she hears ‘our’ voice in asking her to challenge Obama in 2012 and campaigning for candidates in 2010. Change may be coming alright…but it will be a right turn for America…the proven direction of national advancement and greatness.

A younger generation of Americans may not been familiar with this hallmark speech made by Ronald Reagan. But, through the wonderful technology of websites and YouTube, we are able to offer a portion of it here. Ronald Reagan’s timeless clarion call of liberty, delivered in 1964, resonates even more today during the current presidency. This is not the type of speech we will ever hear from Obama for it is one which champions the might of the people over the government and of democracy over socialism. Ronald Reagan’s words…though belittled by the elitist media then just as Sarah Palin’s are today…remain a blueprint for conservative victory.

In the Vice-Presidential debate with Joe Biden last year Sarah Palin quoted from this speech in her closing remarks. Last week marked the 45th anniversary of this classic political prose and hearing it again now should life our spirits and challenge us to act. The fate of nations…the fate of freedom…the fate of free enterprise and the willingness to throw off the shackles of an intrusive federal government belong to those with courage.
